8 July 1944 Mission #128 Target: Esternay

For this mission to France, (11) crews were briefed around 0300 hours and at 0540, all took off. The 576th led the Group with Lieutenant Robinson as Bombardier. Weather enroute was poor and (8) ships aborted prior to target with the remaining (3) going over a Target of Opportunity, releasing (24)
1000# GPs. The primary was obscured by clouds and results on the T/O were unobserved. Mission aircraft returned around 1105 hours with no fighters or AA fire encountered.
