29 November 1944 Mission #205 Target: Altenbeken

The primary on this raid was another railway viaduct in the continued effort to cut the major German supply lines. The secondary target was the marshalling yard at Paderborn. A break in the weather had promised good visual bombing conditions. Between 0515-0645 hours, 19 crews were briefed and by 0945 hours the first ship was taking off. All went over the target releasing 120 1000-pound bombs; one a/c accidentally released its bombs just past the I.P. GH methods were employed as the target weather was poor once again. Results were unobserved. Friendly fighter support was very good and no enemy aircraft were seen. Flak over target and enroute was negligible. All ships returned by 1527 hours.
