he marshalling yard in this city was scheduled for attack and briefings for (10) aircrews were held between 0400-0500 hours. The 576th led the mission which took off beginning at 0900 hours. Assembly weather was very poor which caused several Group planes to join and bomb with other units as crews could not find the 392nd formation. Those releasing did so employing PFF with the results of the (100) 500# bombs being unobserved. Friendly fighter support was very effective and no enemy fighters were encountered. Flak was meager but (6) returning bombers were battle damaged. All landed safely about 1430 hours.
